Solution

The pattern is :

12 $$\times 0.5 + 0.5$$ = 6.5

6.5 $$\times 1 + 1$$ = 7.5

7.5 $$\times 1.5 + 1.5$$ = 12.75

12.75 $$\times 2 + 2$$ = 27.5

27.5 $$\times 2.5 + 2.5$$ = 71.25
