Question 152

$$7\frac{1}{7}-3\frac{1}{14}+2\frac{2}{7}=?$$

Solution

$$7\frac{1}{7}$$ = $$\frac{50}{7}$$

$$3\frac{1}{14}$$=$$\frac{43}{14}$$

$$2\frac{2}{7}$$=$$\frac{16}{7}$$

Taking LCM of 7 and 14 the terms can be written as

$$\frac{100}{14}$$ - $$\frac{43}{14}$$ + $$\frac{32}{14}$$ = $$\frac{89}{14}$$

$$\frac{89}{14}$$=$$6\frac{5}{14}$$

Hence Option A is the correct answers.
