Question 151

$$3\frac{3}{6} + 4\frac{1}{2}-2\frac{2}{3}-1\frac{11}{12}=?$$

Solution

$$3\frac{3}{6} + 4\frac{1}{2}-2\frac{2}{3}-1\frac{11}{12}$$

Lets, rearrange the integers and fractional values

= (3 + 4 - 2 - 1) + ( $$\frac{1}{6} + \frac{1}{2} - \frac{2}{3} - \frac{11}{12}$$)

= 4 + ($$\frac{2+6-8-11}{12}$$)

= 4 - $$\frac{11}{12}$$

= 3$$\frac{1}{12}$$
