Question 15

If 5 * 3 = 19 and 8 * 5 = 49, then what should 6 * 4 be?

Solution

The pattern followed is that $$a*b=a\times b+(a-b)^2$$

Eg : $$5*3=5\times3+(5-3)^2=15+4=19$$

and $$8*5=8\times5+(8-5)^2=40+9=49$$

Similarly, $$6*4=6\times4+(6-4)^2=24+4=28$$

=> Ans - (B)
