If 17@1=8; 9@1=4; 6@4=1; then what is the value of 8@2=?

Solution

The pattern followed is that for $$a$$@$$b$$ = $$\frac{(a-b)}{2}$$

Eg : 17@1 = $$\frac{17-1}{2}=\frac{16}{2}=8$$

and 9@1 = $$\frac{9-1}{2}=\frac{8}{2}=4$$

and 6@4 = $$\frac{6-4}{2}=\frac{2}{2}=1$$

Similarly, 8@2 = $$\frac{8-2}{2}=\frac{6}{2}=3$$
