DIRECTIONS for the question: Solve the following question and mark the best possible option.
If the numbers from 5 to 85 which are exactly divisible by 5 are arranged in descending order, which would come at the eleventh place from the bottom?
Solution
The arrangement of numbers will look like: 85, 80, 75, .... 5
==> 5*17, 5*16, 5*15,...,5*1.
1st term from the bottom is 1st multiple, 2nd term is 2nd multiple, so nth term will be n th multiple.
So, 11th number will be the 11th multiple i.e. 55.
