What is the ratio of the mean proportional between 8.1 and 3.6 and the third proportional of 2 and 3?
Now mean proportional of two numbers means the geometric mean of the two numbers
so mean proportional of 8.1 and 3.6 will be $$\left(8.1\times\ 3.6\right)^{\frac{1}{2}}=\ 5.4$$
Now let third proportional of 2 and 3 be y
so we get 2:3 =3:y
so we get
2y=9
y=4.5
Now ratio of of the mean proportional between 8.1 and 3.6 and the third proportional of 2 and 3 will be :5.4:4.5 = 6:5
