The cost of 8 fans and 14 ovens is Rs. 36,520. What is the cost of 12 fans and 21 ovens ?

Solution

Let the cost of a fan = Rs. $$x$$

Cost of an oven = Rs. $$y$$

=> $$8x + 14y = 36520$$

Multiplying both sides by $$(\frac{3}{2})$$, we get :

=> $$\frac{3}{2} \times (8x + 14y = 36520)$$

=> $$12x + 21y = 54,780$$
