Question 147

Which of the following combinations represents the husbands of the two married couples ?

Solution

B is the Lawyer and he is married to F the Manager

C is the Doctor and is an unmarried lady

A is brother of G who is the Architect. D is the Teacher and is sister of G. This means D is the third and last female and is married to E as A is the brother or D.

E is not an Engineer and G is an Architect means E is the Musician A is the Engineer.

When this data is arranged we get,

The married ones are:

B(Male)(Lawyer) <-> F(Female)(Manager)

E(Male)(Musician) <-> D(Female)(Teacher)

The unmarried ones are:

C(Female)(Doctor)

G(Male)(Architect)

A(Male)(Engineer)

Hence B, E are the husbands.
