Question 147

Q147

Solution

If we look at the elements in the first row,

$$K_7\ L_5\ M_3$$

K, L and M are consecutive digits

The middle number 5 is the average of 2 extreme numbers 7+3 = 10 and 10/2 = 5

Similarly, for the second row,

$$L_9\ M_7\ K_5$$

From the first row, KLM, now LMK, this is the pattern.

9+5 = 14 and 14/2 = 7

So, for the last row

$$M_{11}\ L_9$$

We know that (11+x)/2 = 9

x = 7

From options, only $$K_7$$ is possible.
