Of the three numbers, the first is twice the second and is half of the third. If the average of these numbers is 56, the numbers in order are

Solution

Let the first number be $$2x$$

=> Second number = $$x$$

and third number = $$4x$$

Average of these numbers = $$\frac{2x + x + 4x}{3} = 56$$

=> $$x = \frac{56 * 3}{7} = 24$$

Numbers are = 2*24 , 24 , 4*24

= 48 , 24 , 96
