=> Quantity of syrup = $$\frac{3}{10}*60 = 18$$ litres
and quantity of water = $$\frac{7}{10}*60 = 42$$ litres
Let the amount of water to be added is $$x$$ litre
Now, $$\frac{18}{42 + x} = \frac{2}{5}$$
=> $$84 + 2x = 90$$
=> $$x = 6/2 = 3$$ litres
