Question 142

Number of petrol engine cars in state-3 is what per cent more than the number of diesel engine cars in state-1?

Solution

Number of petro engines in state 3 = 700*$$\frac{32}{100}*\frac{3}{8}$$ = 84

Number of diesel engine cars in state 1 = 700*$$\frac{14}{100}*\frac{3}{7} = 42$$

% increase =$$\frac{84-42}{42}*100 = 100$$%
