let the original price be Rs y and original quantity purchased be z kg

here it is given that When the price of sugar decreases by 10%, a man could buy 1 kg more for 270

y x z = 270 ......(1)

0.9 y x (z + 1) = 270 .....(2)

Solving equations 1 and 2 , we get ,

243 + 0.9y = 270

0.9y = 27

y = Rs 30
