The midpoint of BC to which the median will connect from A : (3.5, 4.5)
Length of median = Distance between A(4,2) and (3.5, 4.5) = $$\sqrt{\left(3.5-4\right)^2+\left(4.5-2\right)^2}$$ = $$\sqrt{6.5}=\frac{\sqrt{\ 26}}{2}$$
