given that average age of 7 persons in the group is 30 years

sum of ages=7*30 = 210

Also given that the average age of 5 persons in the group is 31 years

so the sum of ages of 5 people= 31*5=155

to get the sum of ages of other two people, subtract 155 from 210

i.e; 55

so average of this is

55/2

=27.5
