In each of the question below are given four statements followed by three conclusions numbered I, II and III. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from three given statements disregarding commonly known facts.

Statements:All shirts are hats.
No hat is suit.
Some rings are suits.
All rings are bangles.
Conclusions:I.Some rings are hats.
II.Some bangles are suits.
III.No ring is hat.

Solution

The Venn Diagram for the given syllogism is as shown below:

Statements I and III, irrespective of the diagram are universally complimentary statements ie. one of the two conclusions has to be right always and both can't be true at he same time. Hence, we use "either" and "or" for conclusions I and III.

From the diagram, statement II is implied. Hence, option (e) is the correct answer.
