In each of the question below are given four statements followed by three conclusions numbered I, II III You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from three given statements disregarding commonly known facts.
Statements: Some skies are rains.
Some rains are stars.
All stars are planets.
All planets are clouds.
Conclusions:I.Some clouds are rains.
II.Some planets are skies.
III.Some planets are rains.
The Venn Diagram for the syllogism is as shown below:
Based on the figure we can observe that atleast some clouds are rains and at least some planets are rains. However there are no planets that are skies. Hence, the correct answer is (b)
