If angle bisector of a triangle bisect the opposite side, then what type of triangle is it ?

Given : $$\angle$$BAD = $$\angle$$DAC and BD = DC

Solution : The angle bisector theorem states that :

=> $$\frac{AB}{BD} = \frac{AC}{DC}$$

$$\because$$ BD = DC

=> AB = AC

=> $$\triangle$$ABC is isosceles triangle.
