Question 125

The value of $$\frac{4 + 3\sqrt{3}}{7 + 4\sqrt{3}}$$

Solution

 $$\frac{4 + 3\sqrt{3}}{7 + 4\sqrt{3}}$$

=  $$\frac{4 + 3\sqrt{3}}{7 + 4\sqrt{3}}$$ X $$\frac{7 - 4\sqrt{3}}{7 - 4\sqrt{3}}$$

=  $$\frac{28-16 \sqrt{3}+21 \sqrt{3}-36}{49-48}$$

= $$\frac{5\sqrt{3}-8}{1}$$

= $$5\sqrt{3}-8$$

so the answer is option A.
