Six years ago Jagannath was twice as old as Badri if the ratio of their present age is 9:5 respectively .What is the difference between their present ages?

Solution

Let present age of Jagannath = $$9x$$ years

=> Badri's present age = $$5x$$ years

According to ques, => $$(9x-6)=2 \times (5x-6)$$

=> $$9x-6=10x-12$$

=> $$10x-9x=12-6$$

=> $$x=6$$

$$\therefore$$ Difference between their present ages = $$9x-5x=4x$$

= $$4 \times 6=24$$

=> Ans - (A)
