What is the ratio between the total number of students appeared in 2004 and 2005 together from schools C and D respectively ?

Solution

Total number of students from C in 2004 and 2005 = 820 + 860 = 1680

Total number of students from D in 2004 and 2005 = 800 + 780 = 1580

So, the required ratio = 1680 : 1580 = 168 : 158 = 84: 79
