Solution

Average of 20 numbers = 15

=> Sum of 20 numbers = 20*15 = 300

Average of first five = 12

=> Sum of first five = 5*12 = 60

Numbers remaining = 20 - 5 = 15

Sum of remaining numbers = 300 - 60 = 240

$$\therefore$$ Required average = 240/15 = 16
