The length of a rectangle is twice the breadth. If area of the rectangle be 417.605 sq.m., then length is

Solution

Let breadth = $$x$$ m and length = $$2x$$ m

=> Area of rectangle = $$l\times b=417.605$$

=> $$2x^2=417.605$$

=> $$x^2=\frac{417.605}{2}=208.8025$$

=> $$x=\sqrt{208.8025}=14.45$$

$$\therefore$$ Length = $$2\times14.45=28.90$$ m

=> Ans - (C)
