The ratio of two numbers is 5 : 11. If both numbers are increased by 10, the ratio becomes 7 : 13. What is the sum of the two numbers?
Let the numbers be $$5x$$ and $$11x$$
According to ques,
=> $$\frac{5x+10}{11x+10}=\frac{7}{13}$$
=> $$65x+130=77x+70$$
=> $$77x-65x=130-70$$
=> $$x=\frac{60}{12}=5$$
$$\therefore$$ Sum of numbers = $$5x+11x=16\times5=80$$
