In each of the questions a pair of equations is given. You have to find out the values of x and y and give answer.

I. $$9x^2 - 18x + 5 = 0$$ II. $$2y^2 - 9y + 10 = 0$$

Solution

$$9x^2-18x+5 = 0$$
$$(3x-5)(3x-1) = 0$$
$$x = \frac{5}{3}, \frac{1}{3}$$

$$2y^2-9y+10 = 0$$
$$(2y-5)(y-2) = 0$$
$$y = 2, \frac{5}{2}$$
