I. $$x^2 + 9x + 14 = 0$$ II. $$y^2 + y - 2 = 0$$

Solution

$$x^2+9x+14 = 0$$
$$(x+2)(x+7) = 0$$
$$x = -2, -7$$

$$y^2+y-2 = 0$$
$$(y-1)(y+2) = 0$$
$$y = -2, 1$$

$$x\leq y$$
