Solution

The pattern followed is :

2 $$\times 1 + 1$$ = 3

3 $$\times 2 + 1$$ = 7

7 $$\times 3 + 1$$ = 22

22 $$\times 4 + 1$$ = 89

89 $$\times 5 + 1$$ = 446
