Let the number = N
It is doubled $$\Rightarrow$$ 2N
9 is added $$\Rightarrow$$ 2N + 9
It is trebled $$\Rightarrow$$ (2N + 9) $$\times$$ 3 = 6N + 27
$$\therefore$$ 6N + 27 = 75
$$\Rightarrow$$ 6N = 48 $$\Rightarrow$$ N = 8
