A can do a piece of work in 12 days and B in 24 days. If they work together, in how many days will they finish the work ?
Solution
Work done by working together = $$\frac{1}{12}+\frac{1}{24}$$
= $$\frac{2+1}{24}=\frac{3}{24}=\frac{1}{8}$$
$$\therefore$$ Time taken = $$\frac{1}{\frac{1}{8}}=8$$ days
=> Ans - (D)
