Solution
Let number be $$100x$$
=> 75% of the number = $$\frac{75}{100} * 100x = 75x$$
Now, 75 + $$75x = 100x$$
=> $$x = \frac{75}{25} = 3$$
Number = 3*100 = 300
40 % of 300 = $$\frac{40}{100}$$ * 300 = 120
