I. $$x^{2} - 5x + 6 = 0$$
II.$$y^{2} + y - 6=0$$

Solution

I : $$x^2 - 5x + 6 = 0$$

=> $$x^2 - 3x - 2x + 6 = 0$$

=> $$x (x - 3) - 2 (x - 3) = 0$$

=> $$(x - 3) (x - 2) = 0$$

=> $$x = 3 , 2$$

II : $$y^2 + y - 6 = 0$$

=> $$y^2 + 3y - 2y - 6 = 0$$

=> $$y (y + 3) - 2 (y + 3) = 0$$

=> $$(y + 3) (y - 2) = 0$$

=> $$y = -3 , 2$$

$$\therefore$$ $$x \geq y$$
