JEE Advanced Registration Fee 2026 (Indian Candidates)

The JEE Advanced 2026 application fee for Indian nationals varies based on two factors: your category/gender, and whether you are choosing an exam centre in India or outside India. Here is the official fee breakdown:

Category

SC / ST / PwD Candidates

Rs. 1,600

USD 200

All Other Candidates (General / OBC-NCL / GEN-EWS Male)

A notable update for 2026 is that the fee for exam centres outside India has been increased. Indian nationals who opt for foreign exam centres now need to pay USD 200, up from USD 150 in the previous year. The fee for Indian exam centres remains unchanged.

JEE Advanced 2026 Application Fee for Foreign Candidates

Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO candidates have a separate fee structure. These candidates are also not required to appear for JEE Main and can apply directly for JEE Advanced 2026, provided they meet all other eligibility requirements.

Indian Nationals & OCI/PIO (I) choosing foreign exam centres

USD 200

Foreign Nationals & OCI/PIO (F) - SAARC Countries

Note: Fee amounts are in USD. Candidates using international debit or credit cards issued by foreign banks outside India should use those cards for payment. The fee must be paid through the official JEE Advanced portal only.

The fee for non-SAARC candidates has gone up to USD 300 in 2026, which is a significant change compared to the previous year. Candidates in SAARC countries pay USD 200. Always verify the latest amounts from the official JEE Advanced 2026 Information Brochure at jeeadv.ac.in.

Is JEE Advanced Registration Fee Refundable?

No, the JEE Advanced registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. This is clearly stated in the official JEE Advanced 2026 Information Brochure released by IIT Roorkee. Once the payment is successfully made, it cannot be claimed back under any circumstances β€” even if you are unable to appear for the exam, or if your application is rejected due to eligibility issues.

The only exception is in rare cases of a technical error from the official portal's side. If a debited amount does not reflect as a successful registration, the bank usually reverses it within a few working days. However, this is a bank-level refund and not a refund initiated by the JEE authorities.

Given this policy, make sure you double-check all your details before making the payment. Verify your category, gender, exam centre preference, and document uploads. Once your registration is confirmed, there is no correction facility after the window closes.
