The manager of a well-known firm was interviewing applicants for the post of a night watchman he had advertised. He was very hard to please and always found something wrong with each man - one had long hair, another small eyes, a third was too thin, a fourth very fat and another too tall.
Among the applicants interviewed by the manager for the post was one Ram. He watched all this as he sat in the verandah patiently waiting for his turn to be interviewed. He resolved to be prepared for anything. Whenhis turn came, all went well. The manager found nothing wrong with his appearance, size or constitution. He was so handsome, tall and strong that the manager was really pleased to see such a well-built young man.
“Is your health sound?” asked the manager. “No Sir,” replied Ram, “not quite. | suffer from one serious complaint.”
“What’s that?” asked the manager sharply. “Sleeplessness,” came the promptreply.
The manager was so pleased: with the answer of the young man that, without questioning him further, he appointed him.
