The English language section contains 30 questions whereas the other 2 sections contain 35 questions each. All the questions in the IBPS PO prelims exam carry 1 mark. The introduction of sectional time limits will decrease the cut off by a bit. However, the increase in the competition will overpower the advantage offered by the introduction of sectional time limits. If the level of the exam remains the same, we can expect the cut off to increase by a mark or two over the cut off in 2017.
The sectional cut off for all the sections were below 10. A score above 12 in all the sections can be considered safe.
