A venturimeter measures the flow speed of a fluid using pressure difference.

### Formula

$$A_1v_1=A_2v_2$$

### Pressure Relation

$$P_1+\frac{1}{2}\rho v_1^2=P_2+\frac{1}{2}\rho v_2^2$$

### Terminologies

- A₁, A₂ → Areas of wider and narrower sections.

- v₁, v₂ → Fluid velocities.

### Conditions / Special Cases

At narrow section:

$$A\downarrow$$

therefore:

$$v\uparrow$$

### Usage

- Used to measure fluid velocity.
