General formula: $$ \% X = \frac{\mathrm{atomic mass of X}}{\mathrm{molecular mass of AgX}} \times \frac{\mathrm{mass of AgX}}{W} \times 100 $$
Specific factors:
  • Chlorine: $$ \% Cl = \frac{35.5}{143.5} \times \frac{\mathrm{mass of AgCl}}{W} \times 100 $$
  • Bromine: $$ \% Br = \frac{80}{188} \times \frac{\mathrm{mass of AgBr}}{W} \times 100 $$
  • Iodine: $$ \% I = \frac{127}{235} \times \frac{\mathrm{mass of AgI}}{W} \times 100 $$
