Now that we have the arrangement, let's look at the statements:

Therefore, only statements C and D are correct. 
Hence, Option C is the correct answer. 

{L, M, N, O, P, Q, R} are sitting around a circular table facing the centre of table. 
"O" is sitting between L and R . 

Case I :

But, now it is also given that Q is the second to the right of R. Hence, that won't be possible in this case because already L is second to the right of R.

A is 16th from the left, which means that there are 15 members to the left of A. C is 16th from the right, which means that there are 15 members to the right of C. It is also given that B is 4th to the right of A and 5th to the left of C. So, there are a total of 15 members to the left of A, 3 members between A and B, 4 members between B and C, and 15 members to the right of C in the row of boys. So, the total number of boys in the row is 15 + 3 + 4 + 15 + 3 = 40 boys. The last 3 in the calculation represent A, B and C.

Hence, the correct answer is option B.

A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and J are sitting around a circle facing the centre. So, 9 people are sitting around a circle.

Let us draw the diagram of 9 positions in a circle.

C is third to the left of A. E is fourth to the right of A. D is fourth to the left of J, who is second to the right of A.
