IIM Amritsar PGP admission Process
The admissions process at IIM Amritsar has two stages. In the first stage, candidates are selected for a Personal Interview (PI). In the second stage, candidates are shortlisted for the final decision on admission to the MBA Program.
Stage 1: Pre-Personal Interview (PI) Process
The initial stage of the process is applicable to all eligible candidates who have taken the CAT exam. It aims to identify candidates who will be called for the Personal Interview (PI) round. The first shortlist includes candidates who have achieved a minimum predetermined percentile score in each section as well as an overall score in the CAT exam.
Only candidates who have obtained a positive raw score (greater than zero) in all sections of CAT will be considered. Only those candidates who are selected in this first shortlist will proceed to the next step, which involves the PI/WAT. The specific minimum percentile cut-off scores for the first shortlist are provided in the table below.
Table 1: Minimum CAT Score Requirement For Shortlisting For PI

A certain number of candidates will be invited for the Personal Interview (PI) based on their rank in the ranking list.

To meet the reservation requirements, a sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted from each social category at each stage of the process. The overall score for each candidate is calculated using a specific formula given below.
