BITS Pilani has released the final BITSAT cutoff scores for admission to the 2026–27 academic year. These scores show where admission closed for each programme at the Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. If you are preparing for a future BITSAT attempt, the figures can help you choose a target based on the branch and campus you actually want.

The official cutoff table lists scores against a maximum of 390 marks for the 130 regular questions. Eligible candidates could also attempt up to 12 additional questions under the exam rules. A published cutoff is a reference point, not a guaranteed admission score: eligibility requirements, programme preferences, available seats and tie-breaking rules also matter. BITSAT 2026 Cutoff for Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad

The cutoff changes with both the campus and the programme. For B.E. Computer Science, Pilani closed at 308, Goa at 274, and Hyderabad at 272 in the 2026–27 admission cycle. Computer Science had the highest B.E. cutoff at each of the three campuses.

For Computer Science, the Pilani cutoff was 34 marks above Goa’s and 36 marks above Hyderabad’s. That does not mean every branch has a similar gap. For example, B.E. Electrical and Electronics closed at 266 in Pilani, 253 in Goa and 251 in Hyderabad. The difference between campuses depends on the programme you compare.

Use the campus-wise cutoffs to make a considered preference list. If you are interested in Computer Science at all three campuses, compare those three scores first. If you would also consider Mathematics and Computing or an electronics branch, check their separate cutoffs rather than treating every technology programme as interchangeable. BITSAT Cutoff 2026 for B.E. and M.Sc.Courses

BITS Pilani offers undergraduate B.E. programmes and four-year integrated M.Sc. programmes. The M.Sc. route has a feature that many applicants consider: students admitted to an eligible M.Sc. programme can apply for a second degree in engineering after completing their first year. If allotted a B.E. programme under the dual-degree scheme, they normally complete both degrees in five years.

The engineering branch is not assigned when the student enters the M.Sc. programme. According to BITS Pilani’s FAQ, allotment depends on the student’s academic performance in the first year and the seats available in the B.E. programme. An M.Sc. admission should therefore not be treated as a guaranteed route to Computer Science or any other specific engineering branch.

These figures also show why it is inaccurate to say that all M.Sc. courses have lower cutoffs than all B.E. courses. M.Sc. Economics at Pilani closed at 256, which was higher than B.E. Mechanical at 239 and B.E. Civil at 222 at the same campus. Compare individual programmes before deciding which options to include in your preferences.

If you are drawn to an M.Sc. programme, consider whether you would be happy studying that subject in its own right. The possibility of a second degree may be attractive, but the eventual B.E. allotment depends on your performance after joining BITS.

BITSAT 2026 Branch-Wise Cutoff Scores

Computer Science recorded the highest B.E. cutoff across all three campuses, followed by Mathematics and Computing at each campus. The next scores differ by programme and location. Electronics branches, Mechanical, Chemical and Civil all have their own campus-wise closing marks.

The table contains examples from different campuses, so do not read it as a ranking of branches at one location. For instance, a student comparing Goa programmes should look at Goa’s Computer Science cutoff of 274, Mathematics and Computing cutoff of 270, and Electronics and Communication cutoff of 261 together. A student comparing Hyderabad programmes would use Hyderabad’s own figures: 272, 268 and 261, respectively.

One mock score should not determine your entire preference list. Use several attempts to see whether your result is consistent. If your marks vary sharply, review whether the difference came from weak concepts, inaccurate answers or time spent on difficult questions. That review gives you a clearer preparation goal than aiming vaguely for a “high score.”

BITSAT 2026 Cutoff Marks: Course-Wise Analysis

A BITSAT cutoff is the closing admission score for a particular programme at a particular campus. It is not a common “passing mark” for every applicant. A student must also meet the Class 12 eligibility criteria that apply to the chosen programme. For most B.E. and M.Sc. programmes, the official criteria include at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with at least 60% in each of those three subjects. Applicants should check the criteria for their specific course, as some programmes have different subject options.

Hyderabad B.E. Civil closed at 220 and Hyderabad B.Pharm closed at 200 in 2026–27. You may see the figures 203 and 151 elsewhere; those are their respective cutoffs for 2025–26, not the current table. Among the programmes listed in the official 2026–27 results, B.Pharm at Pilani and Hyderabad shared the lowest cutoff, at 200.

Suppose your target is a programme that closed above 300. Under the regular marking scheme, 102 correct answers and no incorrect answers would produce 306 marks. That calculation is useful for understanding the level of accuracy required, but real attempts are rarely so neat. Wrong answers reduce your total, while skipped questions earn no marks. Review your mocks for avoidable errors and slow questions before deciding whether you need to attempt more questions or improve accuracy.

Treat the 2026 figures as past admission outcomes. Cutoffs can change in another year as applicant scores, preferences and available seats change. A target somewhat above a past cutoff gives you more room for those changes than aiming to match it exactly.

To check the published scores, open BITS Pilani’s official admissions website and look for the 2026–27 first-degree cutoff table. Find your campus first, then read the row for the exact B.E., M.Sc. or B.Pharm programme you want. Check the academic year shown above the table so that you do not mistake a 2025–26 figure for a 2026–27 cutoff.

Individual allotment results were released through admission iterations. Candidates could use the result link in the relevant official notice to check their status and, if offered a seat, follow the instructions and deadline in their offer. The 2026–27 first-degree process reached nine iterations, and the official admissions page says the cycle closed on September 1, 2026. It would therefore be misleading to describe registration or counselling for this cycle as currently open.

For future preparation, start by listing the programmes you would genuinely consider. Note each programme’s 2026 closing score, set a practice target above it, and track your scores in timed mocks.
