unable to find accurate answer in varc finding difficult elminating between two option

I am scoring good in cracku VARC sectionals but not that good in IMS Sectionals. what should I do?

Guys, VARC - Either too good or too bad. DILR- never beyond 1 set.QA- can solve 10+ without time constraint but max 5 in mocks.Any suggestions?

in daily test 187 of quadratic equations, in ques no 5, cant we just subs x as x+1 and x-1, make the two equations equal and find the value of x from there. I did it like that.
