i always start solving in correct direction , but after a few steps when its required to creatively bend the equation i loose the question ,anyways to improve creative thinking while solving ?

seven runners- A,B,C,D,E,F,G - start running simultaneously on a circular track. their speeds are in the ratio 1:2:3:4:5:6:7 respectively. A,C,E,G run in one direction and B,D,F run in the opposite direction. At how many distinct points on the track does A meet any other runners.
