Hi Nipsi, At 96, It is unlikely that you will get calls from SIMSREE You are just on the border-line for many good colleges namely XIME, PUMBA, NIT. It is recommended to target them. There are plenty of other colleges available at 96th percentile in MAT. You can target BIMTECH, BIMM, Jaipuria, Aliiance. If you are able to get calls from XIME, PUMBA, fantastic. Else, unless you score above 97–98 percentile where one can target good colleges, settling for these other colleges such as Jaipuria might seem like a down gradation. There are 4 MATs a year. I would recommend you to write MAT again. If you managed 96 percentile now, scoring 98+ percentile is far easier than compared to the efforts required in CAT. The ROI of colleges BIMTECH etc makes it a risky affair. Hence, execute due diligence before selecting a college. Do reach out to us for any clarifications. Good luck:)

If I get shortlisted for the Profile based call from SPJIMR, Is it mandatory to appear for the interview in Jan itself. Can someone explain the process involved?

the profile based seats are limited, so if the seats are full and you have profile based call, but did not appear, it would be of no use. if you have got the call, the first thing you must do is that go to the portal, that they must have sent you in your email inbox and register your slot there. one slots would get filled, the situation would get worse.

Hello, I have received the profile-based call from SPJIMR. Can somebody tell me what is the minimum GMAT focus score is required to book the slot for the interview? Is there any sectional cutoff for the GMAT score?

Hi sonakshi, This year, you have fallen into an unfortunate category which happens to many students every year. Despite being a good score, you will not be eligible to any IIMs since you do not clear the sectional cut-offs. IIT-B is out too. IITD also has sectional cut-off of 80%, hence that is out IIT-kgp does not have sectional and considers entire profile into consideration. You should apply to IIT-kgp and IIT-kanpur Apart from that, I hope you have applied for MDI and SPJ. Those two are the best things available for you at this time. If you have a suitable engineering background, NITIE is the best in the country for a masters in operations. They do not have any sectional cut-offs. As fallback option, you can apply to IMI and IMT We have also made a detailed video on the same subject. Hi praveen, The list of shortlisted candidates is already out, check it out here IIFT shortlisted candidates I would recommend you to start-off with a serious dedicated preparation for GDPI Since you have qualified on the border-line, you must outperform your peers in GDPI to convert IIFT. You must score atleast 6-7 addtional marks in GDPI out of 35 to make-up for the shortfall in IIFT scores Wish you best of luck:)
