For example of a question says a+b=12 and a and b are real numbers and find the maximum value of ab so we will use AM>=GM Which means (a+b)/2 >= (ab)^1/2 so we get 6>= (ab)^1/2 squaring both sides we get 36>= ab Hence ab is less than equal to 36 or maximum value of ab will be 36.

What I do if I finish the topic but doesn't score full mark in that topic sectional?

Hi It is likely that even after covering full topic you might not score full marks in the topic test because the questions being application based or sometimes time pressure is also there or some questions might involve few concepts from other topics as well which you might not have covered , however I would suggest you to analyze the test very well and revisit the questions which you got incorrect or couldn't solve after a few days and also revise the topics which you have covered at least once every week .

I look at all the sets first and decide on an order to attempt them. I will try to select the easiest one first. Getting the first set correct quickly is very crucial.

So if number of friends are n and so each friend will contribute n chocolates so total contribution will become n^2 Now therefore total chocolates will become : 195+n^2 Now it says when divided equally , the chocolates becomes 28 so we get (n^2+195)/n =28 n^2+195=28n n^2-28n+195=0 (n-15)(n-13)=0 n=15 or 13. So number of friends can be 13 or 15.
