Assume if in any year sales is more than production then both the companies has sufficient stock to meet such instances.

The production of company 2 in year 2012 is 30000. If sales of company 2 in year 2012 and 2013 is same, then what was its production (in units) in year 2013?

Solution

Production of company 2 in year 2012 = 30000

Ratio of production to sales = $$\frac{30000}{s}=0.75$$

=> Sales of company 2 in year 2012 = $$\frac{30000}{0.75}=40000$$

According to ques, sales of company 2 in 2013 = 40000

Ratio of production to sales = $$\frac{p}{40000}=0.4$$

=> Production of company 2 in year 2013 = $$0.4\times40000=16000$$

=> Ans - (B)
