I. $$2x^{2} + 5x + 2 = 0$$
II. $$4y^{2} = 1$$

Solution

I : $$2x^2 + 5x + 2 = 0$$

=> $$2x^2 + 4x + x + 2 = 0$$

=> $$2x (x + 2) + 1 (x + 2) = 0$$

=> $$(2x + 1) (x + 2) = 0$$

=> $$x = \frac{-1}{2} , -2$$

II : $$4y^2 = 1$$

=> $$y^2 = \frac{1}{4}$$

=> $$y^2 = (\pm \frac{1}{2})^2$$

=> $$y = \pm \frac{1}{2}$$

$$\therefore$$ $$x \leq y$$
