Give answer e: if x = y

I. $$x^{2} + 3x + 2 = 0$$
II. $$2y^{2} = 5y$$

Solution

I : $$x^2 + 3x + 2 = 0$$

=> $$x^2 + 2x + x + 2 = 0$$

=> $$x (x + 2) + 1 (x + 2) = 0$$

=> $$(x + 1) (x + 2) = 0$$

=> $$x = -1 , -2$$

II : $$2y^2 = 5y$$

=> $$2y^2 - 5y = 0$$

=> $$y (2y - 5) = 0$$

=> $$y = 0 , \frac{5}{2}$$

$$\therefore$$ $$x < y$$
