A sum lent at 7% per annum will produce as much Simple Interest in 2 years as Rs.1750, lent at 5% will produce in 4 years. Find the sum.

Solution

Let say, the sum is P.

So,

$$P×0.07×2=1750×0.05×4$$

or, $$P=(1750×10)/7$$

or,P=2500.

B is correct choice.
