An article was sold for Rs. 2,400 at a discount of 20%. Find the selling price, if the discount was 25%.

Solution

S.P = Rs 2400

D = 20%

M.P = $$2400\times\ \frac{100}{80}=3000$$

Now discount = 25%

Then S.P = $$3000\times\ \frac{75}{100}=Rs 2250$$.
