The curved surface area of a hemisphere is 27.72 sq cm, ﬁnd its radius?

Solution

Let radius of hemisphere = $$r$$ cm

Curved surface area of hemisphere = $$2 \pi r^2 = 27.72$$

=> $$r^2 = \frac{27.72}{2 \pi}$$

=> $$r^2 = 13.86 \times \frac{7}{22}$$

=> $$r^2 = 0.63 \times 7 = 4.41$$

=> $$r = \sqrt{4.41} = 2.1$$ cm

=> Ans - (B)
